[Emerald Park, Sask.]—SeedMaster has received a loan of $602,500 from the PrairiesCan Business Scale-Up Program (BSP) to expand its production and packaging capacities.
On March 16, SeedMaster was announced as one of the three Saskatchewan BSP recipients receiving funding through PrairiesCan.
With this funding, SeedMaster plans to integrate new advanced manufacturing technologies to meet growing product demand and increase global sales.
“We are thrilled to have secured this loan as it will not only support our expansion plans to meet our customers’ demands, but it will also drive innovation and global growth opportunities for our company,” says Don Henry, Chief Executive Officer, SeedMaster.
“By increasing our operational capabilities, we will continue our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our valued customers,” Henry adds.
The PrairiesCan program was developed with the purpose of supporting high-growth Saskatchewan businesses scale-up their operations and expand into new markets.
Through this federal investment, the Canadian government aims to fuel innovation and business growth in the Saskatchewan economy in key sectors such as agri-food, agriculture and advanced manufacturing.
